ABOUT THE TEAM
The Frontend Platform team is responsible for all frontend applications, libraries, tooling, and infrastructure for Bestow and the Bestow Platform. We serve employees, consumers, and enterprise customers. In addition to building software, we integrate and manage many third-party products used by employees and as part of the platform.
Within Bestow Engineering, our major functional teams are product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, martech, and program management. Frontend Platform works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap.
We are looking for multiple engineers to join our team.
This role will report to our Engineering Manager and is open to Remote (US).

ABOUT THE ROLE
The right candidate for this role will:
Lead the evolution of our cutting-edge frontend platform, driving architectural decisions and establishing patterns that enable scalable experiences across the organization
Architect and implement complex user interfaces, setting standards for accessibility, performance, and responsive design while mentoring others on best practices
Partner with backend engineers to design and evolve our platform capabilities
Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams, influencing product direction and technical roadmaps while ensuring alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical excellence
Champion engineering excellence through comprehensive testing strategies, establishing team standards for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Lead by example in code reviews, providing thoughtful feedback that elevates team capabilities and maintains architectural consistency
Optimize and evolve our CI/CD infrastructure using NX and CircleCI, driving improvements in build times, deployment reliability, and developer experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
5+ years of professional software development experience with significant depth in React and modern SSR frameworks (Remix, NextJS, etc.)
Expert-level understanding of GraphQL architecture, including schema design, performance optimization, resolver patterns, and the ability to guide architectural decisions around API design
Proven track record of delivering accessible, performant, and scalable frontend solutions, with demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with business needs
Strong leadership and communication skills with experience influencing technical decisions across multiple teams and stakeholder groups
Advanced knowledge of testing strategies and tools (Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress) with experience establishing testing standards and practices
Extensive experience designing and optimizing build and deployment pipelines, with a focus on developer productivity and system reliability
Demonstrated experience building and scaling frontend architectures that support rapid growth, with deep understanding of performance optimization, code splitting, micro-frontends, and modular design patterns
