Job Title: Director of Growth Marketing
Company: HouseCanary
Location: Remote - US

About us:

HouseCanary is a leading real estate data analytics firm on a mission to revolutionize the way properties are valued and transactions are conducted. Our platform is built on cutting-edge technology, with a commitment to exceptional quality and actionable insights.

HouseCanary is the authoritative source for accurate, uniform information that is analyzed and visualized in real-time to allow customers to make better, faster decisions. We’re using data and analytics to predict the future of US residential real estate. Our goal is to help people make better decisions by offering innovative and unparalleled insights. HouseCanary’s platform accurately forecasts values 36 months into the future for three million residential blocks and more than 136 million properties.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and data-obsessed Director of Growth Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of our product-led growth channel. This highly strategic and hands-on role will be crucial in driving the acquisition, activation, and retention of our clients, transforming visitors into engaged, long-term customers. You will own the core growth engine, working cross-functionally across Marketing, Product, and Engineering, and manage our relationship with external marketing agencies.

What you'll do:

  • Define and own the end-to-end growth strategy and roadmap for our product-led platform, focusing on measurable results across the funnel.
  • Manage and direct an external growth marketing agency, ensuring high-impact campaigns and efficient spend across all digital channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management counterparts on acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives, turning user insights into product and marketing improvements.
  • Be the expert on core growth metrics (CAC, LTV, conversion rates, etc.), developing dashboards and reporting to monitor performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Lead experimentation across the website, product onboarding flow, and marketing channels to continuously improve user journey and conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute strategies for optimizing channel performance, focusing on organic search, paid media, email marketing, and in-product messaging.
  • Synthesize complex data from multiple sources (SQL, product analytics, spreadsheets) to provide actionable insights and drive strategic decisions.

What you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in Growth Marketing, with a proven track record of scaling a B2B or B2C SaaS product, preferably within a product-led growth model.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing performance marketing budgets and agency relationships to hit ambitious growth targets.
  • High fluency in data analysis, including the ability to write basic SQL queries or use advanced analytical tools to extract and interpret data.
  • Deep understanding of the full customer lifecycle and a passion for optimizing every stage: Acquisition, Activation, Retention, and Referral.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales) without formal authority.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.

Bonus skills:

  • Experience in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role at a scaling technology company.
  • Working experience in proptech, fintech, or data analytics platforms.
  • Prior experience with leading marketing automation and CRM platforms.

Compensation and benefits are extremely market competitive. We are fully remote in the US, so we all work from the comfort of our own homes across the US. The base salary range is $175,000-$230,000 DOE and location. This position is also eligible for equity and a discretionary bonus. As for benefits, we pay 100% of the healthcare premiums for our employees AND their dependents, unaccrued paid time off, and we offer a very robust benefits package!
