As a Renewal Specialist, you will join a new function at SafetyCulture, with a primary objective to drive on-time renewals and maximise renewal revenue. You will sit within our Customer Success team, but also work directly with customers and internal stakeholders such as Sales and Finance, to ensure successful execution of renewals. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of renewals across our entire customer base.

How you will spend your time:

  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies for high quantity of customers of various sizes and segments, to maximise contract value while protecting and improving customer trust
  • Manage all aspects of the renewal process efficiently, including processing renewal transactions, customer communication and overseeing contract execution
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to identify and maximise opportunities for account growth and expansion
  • Maintain and update a rolling forecast of your territory and communicate any renewal risk or uplift to internal resources to in order to develop strategies with your Sales colleagues
  • Contribute to the newly established renewals function, by providing feedback, piloting new processes, and developing playbooks for successfully executing renewals
  • Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, escalate pain-points, and demonstrate strong account management and commercial capabilities to drive renewal to on-time resolution
  • Achieve financial and strategic goals for minimising attrition while growing account wallet share over time
  • Follow and adhere to best practices for all internal processes including, Opportunity Management, Data Quality & Accuracy, CRM Hygiene, Quotes and Forecasting

About you:

  • 1+ year experience with contract negotiation (renewals, account management or customer success experience), ideally within the software or SaaS industry
  • Exceptional organisational skills, emphasising data accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Customer-centric mindset, adept at engaging with customers and effectively addressing their concerns
  • A proactive approach to identifying and flagging upcoming renewals and potential issues before they arise
  • Strong communication skills to articulate renewal options clearly and collaborate effectively with Sales and Success
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries, concerns, and pushback with professionalism and tact
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, ensuring the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
